National Veterinary Technician Week October 15-21, 2023
We consider all KVH staff to be “Superheroes.”
During National Veterinary Technician Week, we want to express our heartfelt appreciation for our veterinary technicians who are the unsung heroes of our animal care team. They are the true superheroes, working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the well-being and health of our beloved pets. Their dedication, compassion, and expertise shine through as they assist our veterinarians in diagnosing, treating, and comforting our furry friends. Whether it’s a late-night emergency or a routine check-up, our veterinary technicians are always there, ready to lend a helping hand and a soothing touch. Thank you for all that you do!
Captain America – Jordyn – Who has an amazing healing ability, stamina to keep up with the team and the demands of the job. She is strong both physically, and mentally. She is agile and able to get herself into and out of any situation that comes. She is able to come up with brilliant tactics on the fly and is a true artist in the veterinary field. She also has an indestructible shield to protect herself and others from the chaos that attacks the veterinary hospital.
Superpowers: Strength, agility, stamina, healing ability, expert tactician, martial artist, indestructible shield.
Black Panther – Ashley – Basically has superhuman speed and accuracy. She has magical learning abilities and is able to plan ahead for any situation. She is able to sense the room for clients, staff and patients and know how to best help them. She is efficient, effective and most of all fun to be around.
Superpowers: Enhanced senses, superhuman condition, speed, martial artist, magical resistance,
Gamora – Casey – She is super strong and has the stamina and durability to last all day long with amazing energy and positivity. She uses her knowledge and reflexes to carefully and effectively deal with all of the animals that come our way. She learns quickly, acts fast, and is a crucial part of the healing process for her patients.
Superpowers: Superhuman strength, agility, reflexes, stamina, durability, regenerative healing.
Iron Man – Alexis – She moves so fast she looks like she can fly. She can be everywhere doing so many things and improving everyone’s day. She is constantly looking for ways to improve processes and treatments for animals and looking for ways to help the hospital. She is also the superhero out in the field taking on whatever adventures the vet truck takes her. She is resourceful smart and willing to work for what she wants.
Superpowers: Genius-level intellect, multiple powered armor suits, ability to fly.
Captain Marvel – Lacie – She works hard, fast, and has the endurance to keep up with the vet hospital needs. She is able to stay level headed and calm in intense situations. She is resistant to many negative aspects that come with the veterinary field and still provide genuine care for the clients and patients. She projects a positive attitude and atmosphere for the hospital. She is a great addition to the team at KVH!
Superpowers: Strength, speed, stamina, resistant to most toxins, energy absorption and manipulation.
Daredevil – Denni – She watches her surroundings and watches for dangers. She is often helping in all areas of the hospital. She is resourceful and digs into solutions to problems. Denni tries to hit the mark on all of her patient care. She is a fighter for what she believes in.
Superpowers: Superhuman, radar senses, skilled martial artist and marksman, stick fighter, detective.
Spider-Woman – Amy – She has the strength of a dozen men. She is fast, efficient, and most of all caring and protecting of the clients and patients that she serves. She gets most of the least favorite tasks at the hospital- and she does them with ease and professionalism. She is able to change the attitudes and behaviors of many she comes in contact with. She can diffuse those that are hot, cheer up those that are sad, and maintain cheer in the hospital. She has masterful skills at getting everyone in appropriately.
Superpowers: Strength, speed, stamina, superhuman smell, pheromone manipulation, bio-energy projection.
The Invisible Woman – Kari. – She is the master of invisibility! She can be everywhere, doing everything. She is quiet, reserved, and very good at what she does. But she can complete it all without you even knowing she was there. Just like magic the hospital is taken care of. She is the one that holds us all together and shielding us from all the dirt and germs in the hospital! She is a force to be reckoned with.
Superpowers: Invisibility, forcefield projection, combatant and martial artist.
Deadpool – Jodi – She is highly trained to complete all jobs with precision and ease. She is the muscle that holds us all together. She does many of the unwanted tasks and difficult tasks with ease. She is able to heal many with her interactions and ideas for solutions for both staff and clients. She is one of the longest employed staff members, making her nearly immortal. She always has a comment or an opinion- and is usually accompanied with plenty of wit.
Superpowers: Smart-mouth, extreme regeneration and healing power, trained assassin, immune to telepathic powers, immortal.
Thor – Ethan – Not only does he take excellent care of the clients and patients- he is also the strength and brains behind the hospital maintenance. He fights the weather for us, Keeps us safe, and does all he can to keep us going strong. He is a force to be reckoned with. He is a great addition to the KVH team.
Superpowers: Strength, speed, stamina, durability, weather manipulation, flight (via Mjolnir), dense skin and bones with a resistance to injury.
Spider-Man – Tamara – Single handedly able to catch, wrangle, and groom all of our animals that need a good bath. She can catch jumping and leaping animals and get them scrubbed to perfection. She is strong and has the stamina to go to battle with multiple critters a day. Doing her very best to make them look amazing – even when they have no desire to have a spa day. She has lightning reflexes and can sense when danger is near. She does a great job each and every day!
Superpowers: Strength, jumping, leaping, speed, “danger sense” precognition, custom web-shooters.
Silver Surfer – Haylee – She can control the energy of the hospital. Although new to our team, she can control the energy with her endless positivity and her intense care of patients and others. She is strong and learning with speed. She is the newest addition to our team and proving herself worthy of being a veterinary superhero.
Superpowers: Strength, speed, endurance and the ability to control ambient energy from the universe.
Super-Girl – Olivia – One of our newest and youngest superheroes. Who just started with us this week. He is already proving to have superpowers in the veterinary field. She is flying through training and learning super skills, super-fast!
Superpowers: Super vision and hearing, x-ray vision, flight
Wonder Woman – Betsy – She can do it all! She can do all the daily tasks while still helping to lead others and take on additional projects. She uses all of her abilities to take the best care of the animals and the staff. She uses her special healing powers on everyone she comes in contact with. We are truly blessed to be around her powers each day.
Superpowers: Super strength, agility, reflexes, stamina, healing powers.
We are so grateful to all our Veterinary Technicians for their unwavering commitment to the animals in our care and for being the true champions of their health and happiness. Thank you once again for all that you do!
